Our design goes beyond form — it embraces emotions, senses, and stories.

Through CMF design (Color, Materials, Finishes), we create connections between people, objects, and spaces, shaping immersive and meaningful experiences.

We translate perceptions and intuitions into concrete solutions, crafting sensory narratives aligned with the aesthetic, functional, and cultural needs of each project.

Our approach to CMF design is not only technical, but deeply human.

STRATEGIA

FORO Studio fosters collaborations with artisans, research institutes, and specialized manufacturers to create a continuous flow of knowledge and innovation. Each project is born from a balance between tradition and innovation, blending technical expertise with artistic sensitivity.

TREND FORECASTING

To anticipate means to inspire. FORO Studio explores emerging languages by analyzing evolving trends, offering clients a clear and concrete vision. We create tools such as material moodboards, color palettes, and curated material archives to make research tangible and guide the creative process.

Workshop & Education

Since 2016, Salvatore Ponzo and Alessandro Pennesi, co-founders of FORO Studio, have brought their extensive experience and design vision as instructors of the Materials Technology course within the Master’s programs in Interior and Product Design at NABA, Milan. The course is distinguished by an innovative approach that combines the analysis of emerging trends, sensory design, and advanced research in CMF design (Color, Material, Finish).

Since 2024, Alessandro and Salvatore have been responsible for the selection and management of sample materials at NABA’s Materials Library, within the Department of Interior Design, ensuring continuous updates and rigorous quality of the material collection to support the institution’s educational and design activities.

In parallel, they contribute as writers to Materie Oscure, an independent online magazine (materieoscure.it) dedicated to in-depth exploration and dissemination of innovations in the field of materials, with a focus on research, experimentation, and emerging trends.

"CMF design reveals the power of elements often perceived as invisible, yet they lie at the heart of the connection between spaces, products, and people. Every detail can give rise to an aesthetic and sensorial narrative — one that transcends trends, remaining relevant and meaningful over time."

"Behind every material choice lies the synergy between colors, surfaces, space, and materials — the elements that bring design to life. Today, many companies look to the coming decade with a desire to explore a new design language. Our role is to give voice to this need."
